I also find it sad that the company offers such a complex program with so many features and modules to it, but offer so little support. I entered the artist and title, but it would not let me choose the language (there were not choices) to even get to the tracks. Then, I tried doing it through advanced rip. I could move the box downwards, but not upwards to see any more tracks or to hit submit even for what I had. That was well and good until about half way through when it wouldn't let me go any further (I ran out of room on the screen, there was no scroll bar and it wouldn't move down any further). I could paste in there, so I typed the tracks into Word and copied and pasted into the box for Gracenote. First, when trying to submit disc info to Gracenote after popping the disc in for audio creator, it got to where I could not type into the track fields (but could in the artist and title fields). We have a CD with 59 tracks (which is not unusual in my line of work). I’ll look another day in more detail.I am a long time user (going back to Adaptec in the year 2000). What fascinates me about Winamp’s main forums are how they are a study in mental illness. I also pump music around the house, and control from various web browsers. I’ll put Winamp on as a “play something not in my KODI library”, but my main library has evolved way beyond what Winamp can do with it. MB data is miles ahead of where Gracenote was. It also lets me know the mess that Gracenote used to cause to my ripped media. It is why I do so much work on the databases here and uploading of Artwork. But I am a bit too deep down the KODI rabbit hole now.
I’ll have a look at that DrO version some time soon. But kinda funny that I now use so many different programs to cover the tasks that Winamp used to do so well. In many ways it is a little embarrassing how deep into KODI I now am. Not sure if that still is happening or not. I know he was also working on an updated Winamp. This plugin is the one that would export to CSV files. His plugins are what made Winamp what it is. There is also a good reason why he was never invited to be a Beta tester… I was not the only one with that opinion.ĭr O’s site is still around.
